Tears of oblivion in the Sea Memory VI.

This is one of the seven seahorses I painted for the international, supportive and collaborative installation “Caballitos de mar”, exhibited on 14, 15 and 16 October in Los Alcázares, Murcia, Spain.

The idea of this work is to call the attention of the spectator, on the one hand, to make him aware of how we are taking our planet to the limit, and on the other hand, to remind him not to forget about the fauna and flora with which we cohabit.

The Bat King is the god of darkness. Over the millennia he has spawned millions of new species of bats, each with a special ability to reign as prince and princess in each of the realms of the underworld. The first reference to this creature was found in ancient arcane writings: “From the king of the dark emerged two princes and a princess, Mursh, heir to the inverted throne, Elag the ethereal cave-builder, and Io, the conquering warrior.

Self-portrait with which I intend to discover who I am as an artist, trying to give answers to the questions: What does it mean to me to be an artist? or Who am I as an artist?

The illustration is accompanied by symbols, on the one hand, the scale that rests on my head has a double meaning, on the one hand, my zodiac sign is Libra, traditionally represented by a scale, I am always balancing and weighing each step I take in life before I take the plunge… typical of me… At some point, the scales tip, so the spheres that fall on me are transformed into pigments for my palette, this represents my passion, drawing, and the eternal struggle between following a more traditional professional path or the path of the artist. Finally, my head is crowned by brushes, which project ideas, things to invent, create and imagine and which finally allow me to draw my own future as I wish.

As a die-hard Queen fan, I couldn’t resist painting my favorite clip from the Bohemian Rhapsody music video on my iPad.

I am very interested in the decomposition of his face with the distortion of colours towards infinity.
